The purpose of Colorado Weavers Day is to provide a forum for weavers and others interested in working with fibers to gather, communicate with each other, learn new fiber related skills, and share a day with other weavers from across the state of Colorado.
The first Colorado Weavers Day was hosted by Pikes Peak Weavers Guild in Colorado Springs at the Julie Penrose House in 2008. Linda Ligon was keynoter and papers were juried and presented by established weavers and students. The Day also included presentation of items woven by members of the various guilds with prizes awarded.
Colorado Weavers Day is held every two years, generally in May. The host guild is free to plan activities.
