Carol has been weaving since the early 1970s, and has progressed through several looms to a 32-shaft computer-assisted one. She especially enjoys weaving towels and table linens because so much creativity can be produced in these small and very useful projects. Several 1st Place Awards and Special Awards have been given to Carol for weavings shown at the Colorado State Fair, and she received Handwoven Magazine’s Weaving for the Home Award 2008. The colors used by Guatemalan weavers have been an inspiration in some of her weaving. She raised yaks for 10 years, gave seminars at the National Western Stock Show on yak and related fibers, and had an article and photos published in Wild Fibers magazine. Over the last 25 years, Carol has participated in Pikes Peak, Rocky Mountain, Boulder and Pueblo guilds and their sales, and is a past president of Pikes Peak Weavers Guild.
