What If: A Creative Exploration in Combining Materials and Techniques

The techniques we use as fiber artists have been passed down for centuries. These traditions are important. They connect us to our past, our heritage, and for many of us these processes are calming and meditative. All around us technologies are changing faster than ever before. While our basic analog processes, like stitching and weaving, will never go away, there is no reason we can’t shake things up with a little experimentation. This is why I would like to introduce you to my favorite two words, “what if.” As an artist these two little words push my work to the limits every day. Join me for an exploratory journey, abandoning everything you know, and just looking at “What If…” See what this unique approach can do for your art.
